Train to Protect: A Legal Requirement—and a Smart Investment

In compliance with CSA Standard Z1007:16 and Government Decree 781 in force in Quebec, any employer who provides hearing protectors must also offer training to workers.

Theoretical training: every two years.

This theoretical training goes far beyond a regulatory requirement — it is essential to raise employees' awareness of the risks associated with noise exposure and, ultimately, to ensure the effective use of protective equipment.

It specifically covers:

  • The general health risks associated with noise exposure;
  • The impacts of noise on the auditory system;
  • The selection of hearing protectors according to the work environment;
  • Their fitting, inspection, and maintenance;
  • Prevention principles and noise assessment methods.
Practical training: every year.

Because hearing protection is only effective when it is properly fitted.
See Hearing Protection Optimization Service.

Research is clear: informed employees are more likely to comply with hearing protection use, resulting in greater safety and reduced risk of hearing loss.

Audio Logique provides comprehensive, customized training — available in person or online — to help you meet your obligations while strengthening the culture of prevention within your organization.
